Online Registration

Use the link above for online registration

Registration for credit classes occurs in three phases:

  1. Current students - a restricted registration held only for currently enrolled students and re-entering students to their previous program.
  2. New and re-entering students - a restricted registration held only for new students, re-entering students to a different program, or currently enrolled students who have requested a program transfer.
  3. Open Registration - an open-to-all registration for new, current, and former students, regardless of their admissions classification.  A late registration fee is assessed for any student who registers on or after the “student beginning” date as published on the HGTC calendar.

For registration questions or assistance, please email

the Registrar's Office, or call 478-274-7868 or 7879.

Drop/Add Policy

The drop/add period is the first three (3) instructional days at the beginning of each quarter. Students needing to drop or add a course may contact their advisor or drop/add the course on-line.  If a student drops a course during the designated drop/add period, a grade will not be given for the course.  After the drop/add period, students who need to withdraw from a course must contact their advisor who will assign a grade of: W (Withdrew, not computed in grade point average); WF (Withdrew Failing, computed in grade point average); or WP (Withdrew Passing, not computed in grade point average).  Dropping classes may affect a student's financial aid.

Enrollment Status

Enrollment status is determined by the number of credit hours carried as follows:

Full-time                           12 credit hours or more

               3/4-time                            9-11 credit hours

               1/2-time                            6-8 credit hours

Less than half-time              1-5 credit hours

No student will be allowed to register for more than 18 credit hours without approval from the Executive Vice President.

HGTC has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse to provide enrollment and degree verifications.

Students may obtain a free enrollment verification by accessing their BannerWeb account. Then select the Student Services & Financial Aid link, and click on the National Student Clearinghouse link.
