The Porter Center's most frequently requested room, the YKK Lecture Hall, is a favorite among speakers and guests alike. The warm and comforting use of colors and space in the YKK Lecture Hall allows meetings for as many as 110 people to have the intimacy of a boardroom.
The YKK Lecture Hall is equipped with many audio-visual features including:
- presenter's podium equipped with a VHS format VCR, DVD player, and connections for two computers
- video projection system, (remotely operated from the presenter's podium)
- ceiling-mounted LCD projector (2,200 Lumens)
- PA system with ceiling-mounted speakers, (volume is controlled from presenter's podium)
- XLR microphone inputs, (Note: microphones are not included, wireless and wired microphone rentals are available, contact the Porter Center staff for availability and pricing)
- projection screen, (retractable, motor is remotely operated from podium)
- dry-erase white board
- cable television outlet (Porter Center cable system)
- satellite downlink
- dimmable fluorescent lighting fixtures with four level lighting controller
- network connections and power outlets at each seat
- Internet access
- Telephone jacks
- Live feed from events in the Conference Center can be viewed using the video projection system
The ceiling-mounted LCD projector provides the presenter with the capability of projecting images from a laptop computer onto the wall-mounted projection screen using PowerPoint or other presentation software. Any image that can be displayed on the computer's display can be projected in the YKK Lecture Hall using the LCD projector. |

If your presentation includes materials stored on DVD or VHS tape, these images can also be displayed using the video projection system. |

If your presentation incudes materials on tranparencies, an overhead projector is required. (Note: overhead projector rentals are available from the Porter Center. Contact the Porter Center staff for availability and pricing.) |

Utilized independently or all together, all of the technology is easily navigated by a user-friendly touch screen monitor at the speaker's podium. The limit of any presentation is the imagination of the speaker. |

The Presenter's Podium: |

The presenter's podium in the YKK Lecture Hall is equipped with audio and video cable connections for as many as two portable computers using the computer's 15-pin external video port and audio (line out) output jack. Additional audio-visual equipment installed in the presenter's podium includes a Pioneer Model 7400 DVD player and VHS format VCR. The ceiling-mounted LCD projector, projector screen, VCR, and DVD player are operated using the touch screen LCD display panel mounted in the presenter's podium. |

The touch screen panel displays user-friendly menus that are activated by pressing the menu options that appear on the display panel. Menus are provided to select and control the following equipment and functions:
- LCD projector (ON/OFF)
- Black screen display (ON/OFF)
- Projection screen (UP/DOWN)
- Pioneer Model 7400 DVD player functions, (the menu mimics the remote control units supplied with most DVD players)
- Sharp VHS format VCR, (the menu mimics the remote control supplied with most VCRs)
- Computer input selection to project the image on the selected computer display onto the projection screen at the front of the YKK Lecture Hall
- Volume control for VCR, DVD player, portable computers, (increase, decrease and mute)
